Putting her emotional truth into heartfelt and relatable songs Olivia Rose writes to mirror her own feelings and fondest memories. Growing up in her hometown Elk Point, Alberta, she took inspiration from country legend Dolly Parton, along with influences of current superstars Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift.
Songwriting and performing since 8 years old gave Olivia Rose the confidence to fuel a career in music. Performing on the intermission stage for George Canyon led to opening for some of Canada’s best: Dan Davidson, Brett Kissel, and Aaron Pritchett. Honoured with a Rising Star nomination at the 2020 CMAB, Olivia Rose has also won the Edmonton Music Awards’ Rising Star Award for two consecutive years, and a nomination for Country Recording of the Year in the 2019 EMAs.
Olivia Rose’s latest single, “Gold” marked her second collaboration with Juno and CCMA Award-winning producer Bart McKay. Her first project with McKay, “Put It Like That”, the two garnered over 122,000 streams on Spotify as well as spots on editorial playlists “Live Country” and “Down Home Country.”
Focusing on songwriting, Olivia Rose has been hard at work writing for her upcoming project, an album set to start recording in early 2022.
